Problem

The wellness sector is booming, and there is growing competition from many meditation and wellness apps. The major apps have become cluttered with information and features, while other apps have too narrow a focus. I was happy to make an app that was “just right” - a simple meditation app with just enough features to meet a user’s needs, but not too many to distract them.

Solution

Sukha will meet the needs of users by providing the essential features of a meditation app: guided meditations, breathing timer, sound baths, and a gratitude journal. All features can be easily accessed in one place - without needless features that clutter the user’s experience.

Competitive Analysis

For my competitive analysis I analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of Clam, Headspace, and Primed Mind.

A new player in this field should be able to provide meditations with a variety of styles and lengths. A free section of meditations could provide a new player in the market with an advantage in gaining new users, as competitors have expensive paywalls. A clean and easy to navigate design could convert free users to the subscription side of the app.
